IPO-bound contract research, development and manufacturing organisation (CRDMO) Aragen Life Sciences has begun operations at Aragen OneHP, a high-potency development and manufacturing platform at its Nacharam campus in Hyderabad.
Aragen OneHP spans around 15,000 sq ft and operates one manufacturing line with a designed capacity of 500-600 kg of active pharmaceutical ingredient per year. It can support highly potent compounds, including cytotoxic molecules and targeted oncology therapies. The facility will also lay the foundation for future expansion into advanced modalities such as antibody-drug conjugates and peptide-drug conjugates, the company said on Wednesday (October 7, 2026).
For customers, the platform will provide an integrated pathway from milligram-scale discovery through process development and multi-kilogram cGMP manufacturing.
Aragen said the platform is its most recent addition as part of a programme to new capabilities. It has incurred more than âč1000 crore capital expenditure over three years ended March 2026 on building capability across small molecules and biologics. Installed small-molecule capacity stood at 364 KL across Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam as of March 31, 2026.
âWith OneHP, we are bringing discovery, development and cGMP manufacturing for highly potent molecules onto a more integrated platform,â said Aniel Khubchandani, CEO-Small Molecules-CDMO.
The company operates a network of research and development as well as manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam and Pune in India and Morgan Hill, California, in the U.S., with a team of 4,362 employees as of March 31, 2026.
Aragen had in August filed Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an initial public offering (IPO) comprising a fresh issue of âč800 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 27,329,192 equity shares, with a face value of âč10 each, by existing selling shareholders.
