All is set for the Dasara Navarathri Utsavams and Saras Mela atop Indrakeeladri and on the banks of the Krishna in Vijayawada from October 11.

The Endowments Department officials have made elaborate arrangements for the Navarathri Utsavams. Officials reviewed the queue lines, drinking water, medical, toilets, sanitation and other facilities.

Endowments Commissioner K. Ramachandra Mohan, NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dhyanachandra H.M., Sri Durga Malleswara Swamivarla Devasthanam Executive Officer V.K. Seena Naik, temple Chairman Borra Radhakrishna and other officials visited the holding areas, annadanam and other places and reviewed the arrangements.

The temple management has launched the ‘Dasara 2026’ app, which can be downloaded on mobile phones. Devotees can get information on the 10-day Dasara Utsavams such as darshan timings, alankarams, prasadam counters, sevas and special pujas, parking places, holding areas, bathing ghats and other information with a click.

The Devasthanam authorities have put up iron fencing and netting to prevent landslips on the ghat road as a precautionary measure. Officials visited the spot where boulders rolled down after the recent heavy rains on the ghat road and took measures for the safety of the devotees.

Punnami Ghat has been decked up for the Saras Mela, which coincides with the Dasara Navarathri Utsavams. Many cultural shows would be performed during the mela, the officials said.

President Droupadi Murmu, Chief Ministers of various States, Union Ministers and other VIPs are likely to attend the mela.
