A Swiss delegation led by State Secretary for Economic Affairs of Switzerland Helene Budliger Artieda visited multiple facilities in Hyderabad to get insights into Telangana’s innovation ecosystem.
The delegation visited spacetech firm Skyroot Aerospace, startup incubator T-Hub and hardware prototyping centre T-Works. At T-Hub, it explored co-building programmes for Swiss firms and student immersion programmes, Telangana government said in a release.
Ministers D. Sridhar Babu, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao as well as senior officials and leaders of Hyderabad’s tech and GCC ecosystem participated in a dinner hosted for the delegation at Taj Falaknuma Palace.
“We are landlocked [State], but never locked out. Our coastline is talent. Our harbour is innovation. Swiss precision and Telangana scale can build the world’s next breakthroughs,” Mr. Sridhar Babu, who is IT and Industries Minister, said in the release.
Telangana will engage with the Centre on strengthening process and product patent frameworks to attract research and development investments from Swiss pharma majors like Roche and Novartis, he said.
An invitation to the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026 was formally extended to the delegation. Invest Telangana, the State’s investment promotion and facilitation organisation, will anchor all follow-ups, the government said.
Ms. Artieda said, “We wanted to not only meet with Swiss businesses and investors, but also go to a State and we picked Hyderabad. We see a very traditional Hyderabad in this beautiful setting, nestled with a modern and innovative ecosystem that is truly conducive for investment.”
