Three persons stabbed in clash between two groups in Otteri

The Otteri police are searching for six persons including a 30-year-old history-sheeter for assaulting and grievously wounding three persons on Tuesday night. 

A senior official of the city police Gokul was proceeding to his house via Dhobi Khana Housing Board of Otteri when he saw a group of persons consuming liquor. As he was walking Anand, who was a boxer with several criminal cases from Kolathur, called him and abused him. When Gokul questioned Anand, he along with his five friends assaulted him. Immediately Gokul went to his locality and brought back his friends Sakthivel, Santosh, Sandeep Patel, Gautam and Gopinath. In the scuffle that ensued between two groups Anand and his friends took out knives and assaulted Gokul’s party.

In this, three of Gokul’s supporters, Sandeep Patel, Gopi and Gautam, suffered from stab injuries. All three of them have been admitted to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital.

The Otteri police are searching for Anand and his five associates of Henry, Vetri, Aravind, Seeni and Jyoti.
