Actor, filmmaker and producer Prakash Raj will head the jury to decide the Kerala State Film Awards for 2024. The State government issued the order which also appointed filmmakers Ranjan Pramod and Jibu Jacob as the members of the two sub-committees for the preliminary judging. Both will also be members of the final judging panel.
The final judging panel will also include dubbing artiste Bhagyalekshmi, playback singer Gayathri Ashokan, filmmaker and sound designer Nithin Lukose, author and screenwriter Santhosh Echikkanam. The other members of the preliminary judging panel are film critic M.C. Raja Narayanan, filmmaker V.C. Abhilash, poet and lyricist Vijayarajamallika, cinematographer Subal K.R., filmmaker Rajesh K., and writer and lyricist Shamshad Hussain.
Filmmaker Madhu Eravankara will head the jury for awards on writings related to cinema. The committee will also consist of film critic A. Chandrasekhar and writer Vineetha Vijayan. Chalachitra Academy Secretary C. Ajoy will be the member secretary in all the panels. A total of 128 films have been submitted for the award. The jury screening will begin on October 6.
