The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh organised community screenings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme, ‘Mann Ki Baat’, on Sunday, at more than 5,000 locations across the State. Party workers at the booth and mandal levels set up special venues to facilitate collective listening.

A major event was held at Tapeswaram in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. Addressing the gathering, State BJP president P.V.N. Madhav said the programme had become a platform for highlighting the achievements of rural India and inspiring young innovators.

He noted that in the latest episode, the Prime Minister praised the determination of India’s youth, calling them the country’s greatest strength. Mr. Madhav said the very mention of the Golden Quadrilateral evoked the memory of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for every Indian. He recalled that Vajpayee had launched the 5,846-km Golden Quadrilateral Highway Project connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata, which significantly accelerated the movement of goods and laid a strong foundation for India’s economic transformation.

Union Minister Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma praised Vajpayee’s decisive leadership in matters of national security. He recalled the successful Pokhran-II nuclear test and Vajpayee’s unwavering support to the Armed Forces during the 1999 Kargil conflict, which ultimately led to India’s victory.

BJP leaders said that if Atal Bihari Vajpayee had laid the foundation for India’s development, the country was now advancing rapidly along that path under strong and determined leadership.

Anaparthi MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, Mandapeta MLA and State Estimates Committee Chairman Vegulla Jogeshwara Rao, Amalapuram MP Ganti Harish Madhu, Rajahmundry MP Daggubati Purandeswari, Legislative Council Floor leader Somu Veerraju, AP Water Resources Development Corporation Chairman Vegulla Leela Krishna, BJP National Council member Vetukuri Suryanarayana Raju, former MLA Ayyaji Vema, and BJP State general secretary Salagrama Lakshmi Prasanna, among others, were present.
