Constitutional day

Srivilliputhur, Kalasalingam University and Kalasalingam School of Law celebrated ‘76th National Constitution Day’. Chancellor K. Sridharan presided. Vice president S. Shasi Anand, vice chancellor S. Narayanan and registrar V. Vasudevan felicitated. Chief Guest G. Sudhagar, Sessions Judge of the Special Court for SC/ST Act Cases, Srivilliputhur, inaugurated ‘The Voices of Ambedkar Debate and Advocacy Club’ (VADAC). HoD Bharathi highlighted the significance of the constitution and the values it upholds.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between SSM Higher Educational Institutions for Research (SSM HEIR), Dindigul and Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) as part of KARE – Collaboration for Academic Research and Engagement (CARE). Vice chancellor of KARE S. Narayanan, and secretary, SSM College of Arts and Science and principal D. Senthil Kumaran, signed. It enables collaboration in shared utilisation of laboratories, library facilities, and research resources to strengthen research activities.

Sankaralingam Bhuvaneswari College of Pharmacy, Sivakasi, organised a two-day National Seminar on ‘Technological Breakthroughs, Recent Developments and Innovations in Drug Discovery and Delivery’. It was sponsored by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and co-sponsored by the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Tamil Nadu Branch. Principal P. Solairaj welcomed. Officials from various departments delivered insightful talks. Professors M. Rajesh and P. Natarajan coordinated.

NGO Colony Branch Library, celebrated National Library Week, at K K Ayyanadar Gangamirthammal Matriculation School, Dindigul. Various competitions were held and prizes were distributed. Students, who participated received books.

Chief guest, P. Ravichandran, Associate Professor, GTN Arts College, urged students to visit the library regularly, develop the habit of reading beyond their prescribed curriculum, and depend on hard-copy reference books rather than mobile phones for academic purposes.

Associate Professor M. Muruganandam, GTN Arts College, also motivated the students.

Nearly 100 students participated in the programme. Librariran P. Karthiyayini proposed a vote of thanks.
