YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said in a social media post that Andhra Pradesh’s long coastline is not merely a geographical boundary but an economic growth engine capable of transforming the State through port-led development.

He was responding to a post by the YSRCP, which claimed that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government undertook the construction of four ports and 10 fishing harbours despite the challenges of COVID-19, financial constraints, and a global slowdown, while N. Chandrababu Naidu could not deliver similar projects even when conditions were favourable.

The YSRCP post featured a video showcasing achievements in seaport development from 2019 to 2024 and stated that the progress under Mr. Jagan’s leadership reflected his vision and had reshaped the course of Andhra Pradesh.
