Dubai-bound Air India Express returns to Tiruchi

A Dubai-bound Air India Express flight returned to Tiruchi International Airport due to technical snag.

According sources, the Air India Express 611 took off at Tiruchi Airport at 1.54 p.m. It was supposed to land at the Dubai International Airport at 6.30 p.m. However, it returned to Tiruchi Airport at 3.50 pm after being airborne for sometime due to a technical snag. There were 152 persons onboard.

While 11 passengers were offloaded, remaining 135 passengers with six crew members were taken through one-to-one transfer mode. An alternative aircraft was later provided to the passengers to reach their destination. It took off at 5.55 p.m.
