Former MLA and Congress leader R.V. Devaraj passes away

Former MLA of Chickpet constituency in Bengaluru and Congress leader R.V. Devaraj passed away following a cardiac arrest in Mysuru. He was 67.

He suffered an attack while he was visiting Chamundi Hills near Mysuru. He was first admitted to a private hospital and later shifted to the Mysuru unit of the State-run Jayadeva Hospital, where he breathed his last, it is learnt.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar took to X late on Monday to night to express shock and condolences over the passing away of the former MLA.
