Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Tuesday (December 02, 2025) sought Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh’s support for the allocation of land required for the establishment of MSME units in Jaggaiahpeta of NTR district.
During the Minister’s visit to the TDP Parliamentary Office in the national capital on Tuesday, Kesineni submitted a formal representation outlining the significance and progress of the project.
The MP emphasised that developing Jaggaiahpeta into a major MSME industrial hub would significantly boost employment and promote sustainable economic growth in the region. According to the proposal, nearly 826 acres of land have already been identified for establishing 198 MSME units across multiple industrial sectors, with an estimated investment of ₹2,872 crore. The initiative is expected to create around 57,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The MP informed the Minister that several review meetings were held with NTR District Collector Dr. G. Lakshmisha and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh MSME Industries Association, resulting in the identification of suitable land and initial groundwork for the project. He noted that MSME associations are prepared to move ahead once government support is assured.
Responding positively, Mr. Lokesh assured full cooperation and said that the government is committed to promoting industrial growth and entrepreneurship across Andhra Pradesh.
