Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant approval for multiple key projects proposed to be taken up in the State. At a meeting with the Prime Minister at Parliament in New Delhi on Wednesday (December 3, 2025), the Chief Minister sought necessary permissions to take up Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion, under the second phase, as a State-Centre joint venture. The State has submitted a proposal in this regard to the Centre.

Besides the Cabinet approval, he requested financial approval for the northern section of Hyderabad’s Regional Ring Road (RRR), and for permission to begin construction of the southern section, and Regional Ring Rail works.

Mr. Reddy requested for approval for 12-lane greenfield expressway between Hyderabad and Machilipatnam port via Amaravati, development of Hyderabad-Bengaluru high speed corridor into green field expressway and for constructing four-lane elevated corridor between Mannanur and Srisailam over tiger reserve to ensure seamless connectivity from Hyderabad to Srisailam.
