Seven-year-old boy goes missing in Yeleru Canal at Kasimkota

A seven-year-old boy has reportedly gone missing in the Yeleru canal at Ugginapalem village, under Kasimkota police station limits in Anakapalli district on Wednesday.

According to the police, two boys, Rithvik and Lakshith were playing in the water when they slipped and cried out for help. Locals nearby heard them and jumped into the waters. They managed to rescue Lakshith, but Rithvik went missing.

Rithvik, a Class I student, is a native of Kondakarla village, Atchutapuram mandal, was visiting a temple at Ugginapalem village with his family when the incident occurred.

Inspector of Kasimkota police station, A. Swamy Naidu with the help of fire department personnel and local swimmers is conducting search operations for the missing boy.
