About 90.43% of Special Intensive Revision enumeration forms have been submitted and digitised in Krishnagiri as of date, said District Collector C. Dinesh Kumar on Wednesday (December 3, 2025).
Chairing an all-party meeting, the Collector said the last date for submitting the filled-in forms was extended to December 11. The draft voter roll will be published on December 16 and objections/claims may be made till January 15, 2026 and the final roll will be published on February 14, 2026.
The district has a total electorate of 16,80,626 voters (8,39,439 women, 8,40,875 men and 312 trans voters). The forms were handed over to 16,80,547 voters (99.99%). As of date, 15,19,806 forms ( 90.43%) were duly filled and submitted to the Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) and the forms have been uploaded.
The SIR exercise is undertaken by 1,896 booth level officers, 196 booth level officers’ superintendents, panchayat secretaries, noon meal organisers, volunteers, and revenue officers in the district.
A total of 1,60,868 voters (9.57%) were identified under four categories of “absent”, “shifted”, “dead” and “double entry” so far, according to the Collector. The list has been shared with the recognised political party agents for their claims and objections.
Voters registered in Krishnagiri, who are yet to submit their forms, can submit online. The forms can be submitted under three categories: the name of the voter as mentioned in the 2002 / 2005 SIR; name of the parents or grandparents; or under Category 3, where notice will be issued to the voter, and the voter may submit any of the recognised 13 documents of the ECI and have their names included.
Voters are asked to avail themselves of the date extension and not wait till the last date for submitting the filled-in forms. Voters are also advised to verify their names after the publication of the draft voter roll.
Similarly, new voters, first-time voters with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date may submit their forms after December 16. Form 6, 7 and 8 will also be accepted after December 16, the Collector added.
Responding to a query on Krishnagiri district being bifurcated from Dharmapuri after the first SIR and the non-availability of data, the Collector allayed fear of names getting missed out, explaining that when an application comes, a ‘progeny mapping’ is first done through a BLO app, which shows up all possible matches. Even if there is no match found, the applications will be taken under Category 3.
There are 40,000 voters under Category 3 in all the six Assembly constituencies. Notices will be issued to these voters after December 16, and they will be called to submit one of the documents as proof, he added.
