Senior officials from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) held a meeting with the Telangana Drugs Control Administration (DCA) in Hyderabad on Wednesday (December 3) to review ongoing cooperation and future regulatory priorities.
Officials from DCA presented recent updates on regulatory activities in the State. Both sides discussed the progress of ongoing collaborative efforts and explored areas for future engagement between the two regulatory bodies. DCA stated that its officers have so far participated as observers in 13 inspections led by the FDA in Telangana, a move that has helped enhance regulatory cooperation and strengthen knowledge sharing between the agencies.
The delegation from FDA included Mark Abdoo, Associate Commissioner of the Office of Global Policy and Strategy, Gregory Smith, Country Director of the India Office, Ravi Bharwani, Principal Advisor with the Office of Global Policy and Strategy, Dr. Jacquin Jones and Dr. Phil Nguyen, both International Relations Specialists with the India Office, and Dhruv Shah, Senior Technical Advisor with the India Office.
