As part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the distribution of enumeration forms has reached 100% in Kozhikode district.
District Election Officer and Collector Snehal Kumar Singh said that 99% of enumeration forms had already been distributed in Kozhikode. Forms were being distributed to 26.5 lakh voters in the district. Over 70% of the distributed forms were collected back and digitised by booth-level officers (BLOs), he added.
A total of 2,303 BLOs have been appointed in the district for distributing forms and collecting them back for digitisation. The Collector appreciated the efforts of the BLOs, BLO Supervisors, Deputy Collectors, EROs, AEROs, revenue officials, volunteers, and students and said they had shown commendable performance in the smooth distribution and collection of forms.
The district began distributing forms on November 4, and the Collector said the aim was to retrieve the completed enumeration forms by November 30, digitise them, and achieve 100% completion of the SIR procedures.
