Railways to run Nagercoil-Madgaon special train

The railways will operate three round trips of a special train between Nagercoil and Madgaon and also operate a special train between Mangaluru Junction and Thiruvananthapuram North for seven round trips.

The railways will operate three round trips of a special train between Nagercoil and Madgaon via Mangaluru Junction to clear extra rush of passengers.

An official release here said Train No. 06083 Nagercoil-Maodgaon Express Special will leave Nagercoil at 11.40 am on December 23, 30 and January 6 to reach Maodgaon at 8.50 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 06084 Madgaon-Nagercoil Express Special will leave from Maodgaon at 10.15 a.m. on December 24, 31 and January 7 to reach Nagercoil at 11 a.m. the next day.

The train will halt at Eraniel, Kulitturai, Thiruvanathapuram Central, Kollam, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanaseri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalaserry, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Junction, Surathkal, Udupi, Kundapura, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Murdeshwar, Kumta and Karwar stations.

The train will have total 21 Coaches, including two 3-tier AC, 15 sleeper class and two each general class and luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Thiruvananthapuram special

The Railways will run a special train between Mangaluru Junction and Thiruvananthapuram North for seven round trips to clear extra rush of passengers due to Sabarimala season and Christmas.

Train No. 06041 Mangaluru Junction– Thiruvananthapuram North Festival Special Express leaves Mangaluru Junction at 6 p.m. on December 7, 14, 21, 28, January 4, 11 and 18 to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 3.50 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 06042 Thiruvananthapuram North – Mangaluru Junction Festival Special Express will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 6.15 a.m. on December 8, 15, 22, 29, January 5, 12 and 19 to reach Mangaluru Junction at 8 p.m. the same day.

The train will have one 2-tier AC, three 3-tier AC, 15 sleeper class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
