The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) and Hyderabad-based Divi’s Foundation for Gifted Children signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday (December 3, 2025), to expand services for children with developmental disabilities.

The partnership combines the institute’s national expertise in disability empowerment with the foundation’s work in developmental care, training and community programmes. Under the MoU, the organisations will collaborate on early identification and intervention, capacity building for professionals and caregivers, joint research activities and initiatives aimed at improving community awareness and inclusion.

The collaboration will be overseen by a joint coordination committee over a three-year period to ensure structured implementation and consistent knowledge sharing, said a release.
