CREDAI to conduct RERA awareness seminar

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), Mysuru chapter, will conduct a seminar on the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) in the city on Saturday.

It will be held at MBCT Hall, JP Nagara, at 4.30 p.m., and the objective is to create awareness on the latest regulations, compliance procedures and practical aspects of implementation.

The CREDAI members told media persons here on Thursday that the event is part of is efforts to promote transparency, accountability and professionalism in real estate sector.

Rakesh Singh, chairman of RERA, Karnataka, and other officials from Karnataka RERA Authority, Bengaluru, will take part. The seminar will throw light on the RERA registration process for ongoing projects, project extension and compliance procedures, consumer grievances and redressal mechanism, common challenges faced by developers and solutions to them.

The organisers said the event will serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, and developers can interact directly with RERA authorities and get their doubts clarified regarding the regulatory framework.

The CREDAI members welcomed the proposal to create Greater Mysuru, provided it was conceived taking all stakeholders into confidence. The concept of Greater Mysuru was not about mere real estate development but to boost the city’s planned growth and infrastructure development, they said.
