The Communist Party of India (CPI) State executive member P. Kameswara Rao on Thursday urged the government to resolve all the pending grievances of employees of the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), as they have been surviving on their meager salaries for the past two decades.
Addressing the media in Vizianagaram on Thursday, he said: “Over 6,000 employees of 2,738 PACS have suffered as all the successive governments have ignored their issues in the past few decades. PACS employees under Joint Action Committee will hold agitations on December 6 and 7 to step up pressure on the government for a new Pay Revision Commission, enhancement of retirement age up to 62 years, and regularisation of services of those who joined after 2019.”
Mr. Kameswara Rao added that agitations would continue in a phased manner across the State up to the last week of December to make the government accept the charter of demands.
