Residents in east Bengaluru are expected to face a power outage on Saturday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) undertakes essential maintenance and infrastructure work.

According to BESCOM, the scheduled shutdown is necessary to carry out the erection of a 6T3 gantry, installation of 66 kV underhung isolators, and other underground cable termination structure work at the 66/11 kV Kadugodi MUSS.

The following areas will be affected during the outage: Belathur, Kumbena Agrahara, Patalamma Layout, VSR Layout, Kadugodi, Channasandra, Shankarpura, Siddartha Layout, Immadihalli, Kaithota, Dinnur, G.K. Layout, Maithri Layout, Nagondanahalli, Nagaraj Layout, Dommara Palya, Prashanth Layout, Upkar Layout, Prithvi Layout, Swami Vivekananda Road, Whitefield Main Road, ECC Road, Naidu Layout, Karumariamman Temple Street, Rustumji Layout, and Ambedkar Nagara.
