The election authorities have released the updated electoral roll for local body polls in Kozhikode, listing a total of 26,82,682 voters in the district.
The latest list has 12,66,375 men, 14,16,275 women and 32 transgender persons. A total of 1,490 expatriates have also been added to the final list
In Kozhikode corporation, the voter strength stands at 4,75,739, comprising 2,24,161 men and 2,51,571 women and seven transgender voters.
Across the seven municipalities – Koyilandy, Vadakara, Payyoli, Ramanattukara, Koduvally, Mukkom and Feroke – the total number of voters is now 3,26,156. Of these, 1,53,778 are men, 1,72,375 are women, and three are transgender persons. Vadakara municipality has the highest number of voters at 62,252, while Ramanattukara has the lowest, with 30,545 voters.
The district’s 70 grama panchayats together account for 18,80,787 voters, including 8,88,436 men and 9,92,329 women. Olavanna tops the list among panchayats with 56,110 voters, while Kayanna ranks the lowest with 11,787 votes.
