Special trains to operate from Mumbai to Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram

The railways will operate weekly special trains from Mumbai to Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram to clear the extra rush of passengers during winter holidays and Christmas.

As per the Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., Train No. 01185 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Mangaluru Jn. Special (Weekly) will leave LTT at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, December 16, 23, 30 and January 6 to reach Mangaluru Jn. at 10.05 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 01186 Mangaluru Junction – Mumbai LTT Special (Weekly) will leave Mangaluru Junction at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, December 17, 24, 31 and January 7 to reach LTT at 6.50 a.m. the next day.

The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Jn., Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, and Surathkal stations. It will have one 1st AC, three 2-tier AC, 15 3-tier AC, one pantry car, and two generator car coaches, total 22 LHB coaches.

Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram

Train No. 01171 Mumbai LTT – Thiruvananthapuram North Special (Weekly) will leave LTT at 4 p.m. on Thursdays, December 18, 25, January 1, and January 8 to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 p.m. the next day. Train No. 01172 Thiruvananthapuram North – Mumbai LTT Special (Weekly) will leave Thiruvananthapuram North at 4.20 p.m. on Saturdays, December 20, 27, January 3, and 10 to LTT at 1 a.m. the third day.

It will halt in Karnataka at Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Surathkal, and Mangaluru Jn. The train comprises one 2-tier AC, six 3-tier AC, nine sleeper, four general class, one luggage-cum-brake van and one generator car coaches, total 22 LHB coaches.
