Former Registrar in-charge of Bharathiar University placed under suspension

Bharathiar University has issued an order suspending from service former Registrar in-charge Rupa Gunaseelan on charges of failure to comply with Syndicate directions.

The order issued by the Vice-Chancellor Convenor Committee states that Prof. Rupa Gunaseelan, in the public interest, has been placed under immediate suspension under the Act and Statutes Volume II – Statute 14, and Rule 17 (b) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeals) Rules, for non-filing of appeals, failure to comply with Syndicate directions, violation of protocol, insubordination, and reappointments made without requisite approvals from the Syndicate and Finance Committee, contravening established procedures and statutes.
