Rainbow Children’s Hospital on Saturday (December 6) launched a children’s emergency and OPD centre at Siripuram here. While the emergency wing operates round the clock, the OPD centre functions between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Commissioner of Police Shankabratha Bagchi attended the inaugural function as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, senior consultant paediatrician, Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Rajini Mukherjee said the centre will play a vital role in delivering timely, child-focused emergency and outpatient care. She highlighted that early intervention supported by trained paediatric specialists can significantly improve recovery and long-term health outcomes, and that the new facility is equipped to meet these needs. Rainbow Children’s Medicare operates 22 hospitals and 5 clinics across the 9 cities in the country.
