SCR has stated that six more special trains will be run from Cherlapalli towards Yalahanka and Shalimar on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to deal with the passenger rush.
Train No. 017187 Cherlapalli to Yelahanka will start at 10 p.m. on December 8, Train No. 07188 Yelehanka to Cherlapalli will start at 1 p.m. on December 9, Train No. 07148 Cherlapalli to Shalimar will start at 9.35 p.m. on December 8 and Train No. 07149 Shalimar to Cherlapalli will start at 12.10 p.m. on December 10.
Train No. 07021 Cherlapalli to H. Nizamuddin will start at 9.45 p.m. on December 8, Train No. 07022 H. Nizamuddin to Cherlapalli will start at 4 a.m. on December 10. Train No. 07085 Hyderabad to Kottayam will start at 9.50 p.m. on December 8 and Train No. 07086 will start at 7.45 a.m. on December 10.
These are the special trains being run in view of the air travel chaos in the last few days. The zonal railways had earlier on Saturday run special trains towards Shalimar, Chennai, Mumbai and other destinations providing transport facility for about 4,000 passengers. This is in addition to special trains moving from Bengaluru and other places towards Pune, Kolkata and Nizamuddin touching Kacheguda, Vijawayada, Dharmavaram stations within in the zone, said an official spokesman.
New Train
SCR has announced that the Railway Board has approved the introduction of weekly service — Train No. 17425/17426 Tirupati–Sainagar Shirdi-Tirupati (via Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad, C Sambhajinagar) — with effect from December 14 starting from Tirupati.
Union Minister of Railways, Information and Broadcasting & Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw will flag off the new express train service between Tirupati and Sainagar Shirdi Express on December 9 at 10 a.m.. as the inaugural run through video conferencing. The service from Tirupati will thereafter be on Tuesdays and from Sainagar Shirdi on Fridays.
The express train will be passing through Gudur, Guntur, Secunderabad, Vikarabad and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar stations will immensely benefit the rail users of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra. The train provides fast, secure, comfortable train journey catering to both reserved and unreserved passenger segments inducted with the state-of-the-art LHB coaches viz., two AC II tier, 10 sleeper class and four general second class coaches, said a press release.
