The capital city is set to host a music festival which will witness the coming together of some acclaimed contemporary bands. Indian folk metal band ‘Bloodywood’, which blends Indian percussion and vocal elements with metal, will be the headlining act of ’Uforia 2025’ to be held at the LuLu Mall Open Arena on December 20 from 4 p.m. onwards. The band, which became the first metal band from India to be featured on the Billboard charts, has over the past decade built up a wide following and has appeared in major global music festivals.
Avial, one of the most popular rock bands to come out of Kerala as the pioneers of Malayali rock, will be another of the major bands to be featured at the festival. ’Arogya’, a dark synth rock act from Assam, will bring to the festival its unique sonic identity. Tamil alternative rock band ‘Jhanu’, which has already built a following in Kerala with several performances over the years, will be another highlight.
The festival will also feature performances by fusion band ‘Iham Kavyam’ and singer-songwriter Crishna. The event is open to audiences of all ages, with tickets live on platforms such as BookMyShow, Skillbox and other platforms.
