GPCON-2025 concludes, doctors urged to boost skills

Indian Medical Association’s College of General Practitioners Dean V.S. Prasad has urged young doctors to improve their medical and communication skills, stressing on their equal importance for quality treatment and patients confidence.

The college’s two day national conference GPCON-2025 concluded in Vizianagaram on Sunday.

Along with the organising committee chairman M. Venkateswara Rao, Dr. Prasad distributed certificates and mementoes to meritorious doctors who gave presentations on various subjects including ‘Role of Physician-Finding the Cause, Filling the Gap, How Primary Care can save more lives?, Evaluation and Future of Family Practice, Challenges in Doctor-Patient Relationship and others.

Dr .Prasad said that the college headquartered at Chennai has been conducting academic programmes since 1963 to equip young doctors with updated skills essential to ensure treatment with confidence and authority.

IMA-Vizianagaram district president V. Ashok, IMA secretary Lenka Srinivas said that role of family doctors continues to be vital inspite of the dominance of the technology in the field of medical and health.  

Andhra Pradesh Nursing Homes-Vizianagaram president B. Mahendra Giri, GPCON-2025 Organising Secretary A. Madhukar, GPCON-2025 registration committee chairman B.S.S. Srinivas and Andhra Pradesh Nursing Homes-Vizianagaram president B. Mahendra Giri, along with others were present.
