Inaugural Ceremony

The inaugural ceremony of Aram Dindigul Sahodaya was celebrated marking a milestone for the CBSE community in the region.

Chief guest CBSE Regional Director Piush Kumar inaugurated.

Speaking at the event, consultant S. Chandra Sekaran explained the need for forming the new Sahodaya. CSMA president Manoharan, Kongu Sahodaya president Ramasubramanian and others were felicitated. Over 120 principals and delegates from 58 CBSE schools participated. Joint Secretary Anees Fathima proposed a vote of thanks.

Speaking at the event, secretary B. Dhamotharan highlighted the importance of quality enhancement in higher education.

Principal R. S. Vetrivel emphasised the need for effective management practices to achieve institutional excellence.

Founder and Director of the Consulting Co., Coimbatore, P. Prabakaran, offered insights into quality assurance mechanisms, innovative management practices. and strategies for sustaining excellence in higher education institutions.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) Deemed University, Srivilliputtur, signed an MoU with Pi-Square Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad.

It was signed by Chancellor K. Sridharan and Pi-Square Technologies CEO, J. Srinivasa Raju.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Srinivasa Raju says, ā€œThrough this MoU, students and faculty will get trained in QNX embedded systems, thereby enhancing skill development and employability for studentsā€.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli and SSM College of Arts and Science, Dindigul.

It aims to establish a structured, mutually beneficial collaboration in quality assurance and accreditation preparedness, fully aligned with NAAC’s advisory, permitting mentorship, hand-holding, and capacity-building by peer institutions.

It was signed by Principal of Bishop Heber College, J. Princy Merlin, and Principal, SSM College of Arts and Science, N. Sampathkumar.

J. Ganesh, a world record achiever in eye donation advocacy, addressed the students as the chief guest. A short introductory film featuring real-life stories of individuals whose lives were transformed through corneal and organ transplants was screened.

Speaking at the event, P. Muniammal, Gender Specialist from the Social Welfare Department, Virudhunagar, advised students to stand tall against gender discrimination.

She educated the women students to call the helpline 1098 to report child marriage or any harassment. Anti Human Trafficking Unit Sub Inspector Rajeshwari explained the actions that come under sexual harassment and the key aspects of the POCSO Act.

Sub-Inspectors Navamani and Thangapandi guided the students to install Kaavalan App. All the women students installed the app and took a pledge against child marriage and sexual harassment in the programme.

Sports achievements

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell and the Department of Library of Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi, organised a one-day national seminar on ā€˜AI Tools Enhancing Academic Research and Library Services’ to create awareness on emerging AI technologies in research, information management, and library operations.

Speaking at the event, Chief Librarian S. Sridhar spoke about the rising relevance of AI in higher education, while Principal P. K. Balamurugan underlined the need for faculty and students to strengthen their digital competencies to match global research trends. SALIS Treasurer and TCE Librarian, Madurai, L. Radha, briefed on the initiatives of SALIS.

The seminar featured multiple technical sessions. K.S. Kuppusamy of Pondicherry University demonstrated AI tools useful for teaching and research; Augustine Arul Prasad of D.G. Vaishnav College explained AI-driven personalised learning systems; Nataraj Balasubramanian of TSM, Madurai, discussed data-driven academic ecosystems; and SALIS founder-president A. Hariharan illustrated AI applications in cataloguing, book recommendations, chatbots, and data analysis.

A total of 143 faculty members and 22 students from 19 colleges took part in the seminar.
