Half a dozen envoys from South Asian countries, who are delegates to the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025, paid a visit to Buddhavanam, the largest Buddhist theme park in Asia developed by Government of Telangana at Nagarjunasagar in Nalgonda district, on Monday (December 8, 2025).

The visitors were stunned by the beautiful Buddhist structures and sculptures of Buddhavanam. The dignitaries were received by Mallepalli Laxmaiah, Special Officer, Buddhavanam Project, amidst the welcome dances of Dappu and Kolatam artists at the entrance plaza.

E. Sivanagireddy, Buddhist Expert and CEO, Pleach India Foundation guided them at Buddhacharithavanam, Acharya Nagarjuna statue in the Maha Stupa and various segments of the theme park and explained the significance of the Buddhist sculptures, structures and embellishments as part of the Buddhist culture once flourished here known as the land of Acharya Nagarjuna.

Mr. Laxmaiah presented videos on Buddhavanam and Buddhist Heritage of Telangana and explained on the future plans to make it a world class tourist destination. From there, the visitors left for the Future city to participate in the Global summit.

The dignitaries included Muzaffar Shabin Musthafa, High Commissioner Malaysia; Sankar Prasad Sarma, Ambassador of Nepal to India; Major General Vetsot Namgyel, Ambassador of Bhutan to India; Mahishini Collini, High Commissioner of Srilanka and Chavanart Thangsumphamt, Ambassador of Thailand to India, accompanied by Ruchi Singh and Rahul Elavarthy, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
