Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission chairperson Dr. Rayapati Shailaja said that the commission is prioritising welfare of children and also improving education standards.
Ms. Shailaja visited the Damodaram Sanjeevaiah Bala Sadanam at Peddapadu in the district on Monday (December 08, 2025) and inquired about the facilities. She personally inspected the dining hall, kitchen, store room and rooms of the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shailaja said that they are creating awareness about “Good Touch Bad Touch” in the schools.
Panyam MLA Gourtu Charitha said that there are 48 children in the Bala Sadan, adding that the issue will be brought to the notice of the government seeking better facilities.
