A wide display of new technology and innovation welcomed visitors on Monday, the first day of the two-day Telangana Global Summit-2025 at Bharat Future City near here, where several stalls drew strong interest from delegates keen to see the State’s latest development and tech initiatives.
One of the delegates, attending from Bengaluru, said the event offered an impressive glimpse into Telangana’s emerging capabilities. “It is wonderful to see such a comprehensive showcase of technology and development in one place. The scale and the quality of exhibits reflect the State’s clear focus on innovation and its plans for the development,” he said.
Spread across 100 acres in Ranga Reddy district, the event featured LED-equipped exhibits highlighting major government projects such as the Musi Rejuvenation project, a cybersecurity pavilion by the State police, and installations by aerospace technology companies like Dhruva Space and Safran, ICOMM-MEIL, IIT Hyderabad, and stalls by the Welfare, Agriculture, Education, Tourism and other government agencies.
Visitors navigated immersive attractions – including a digital tunnel, a sophisticated war room, and thematic zones displaying flagship initiatives like Indira Mahila Shakti under SERP, Telangana.
A robotic welcome committee added to the futuristic atmosphere, with an interactive robot greeting attendees and explaining the summit’s objectives. Its friendly exchange with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who inspected the stalls along with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma before the formal inauguration, generated considerable buzz and turned the robot into a selfie hotspot.

Among the standout displays was a three-in-one hybrid bicycle designed by G. Gagan Chandra, a student from ZPHS Balmoor, Nagarkurnool. His eco-friendly model—powered by solar energy, an electric battery, and manual peddling—can travel up to 30 km on battery power at zero cost, earning widespread appreciation after its success at the National Science Fair.
The Telangana Police showcased their upcoming use of AI-enabled drones for crime detection and surveillance. “These drones will help with real-time aerial surveys and identifying individuals with criminal backgrounds. There are several other applications under study,” an officer explained.
The Tourism Department’s stall, inaugurated by Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, promoted the State’s push for global recognition. “We have included digital displays of tourist attractions and heritage sites, along with an interactive touch kiosk. Visitors can test their knowledge of Telangana’s tourist spots and win prizes,” he said.
Adding cultural richness to the tech-driven environment were performances of Kommu Koya, Gussadi, Oggu Dollu and Bonalu, offering a vibrant glimpse into Telangana’s heritage.
The venue will remain open to visitors from December 10 to 13, featuring hands-on exhibits and live demonstrations. Free bus services from MGBS, Kukatpally, Charminar, LB Nagar and other locations will be available, with schedule details to be announced soon, according to the information available on the official website.
