Bharathiar University has been able to calibrate the pre-COVID schedule for the Odd and Even semester exams in the 2025-26 session.
The Even semester schedule of the 2024-25 session was completed during April, and the valuation work was timed during the summer vacation, in order to avoid disruption of the teaching-learning days for the Odd semester of 2025-26 session.
For the 2023-24 session, the Even semester exam had to be conducted during July.
The Odd semester exams for the 2025-26 session were completed during November-December, and the valuation is currently in progress.
The results will be published during the first week of January 2026, Controller of Examinations, Bharathidasan University, K. Vijayarani said.
The Even semester exams will be conducted before the elections to the State Assembly. The university was looking forward to conducting the Even semester exams from the first week of April, 2026, Prof. Vijayarani said, adding that the 2025-26 academic session has been completely restored to pre-COVID schedule.
Earlier this month, the university issued a notification stating that the regular and arrear exams of BU-Community College Consultancy Centre (BUCC) are tentatively scheduled to be held from February 2026.
The BU-CCCC offers various diploma programmes under the heads of Automobile, Commerce, Computer Science, Education, Health and Paramedical, Language, Management, Media Studies, and Textile.
The university directed partner institutions to send the hard copy of duly filled-in applications to the office of the Controller of Examinations along with the prescribed fee on or before December 26, 2025.
