The BJP State president, Nainar Nagenthran, on Thursday (December 25, 2025) said that no seat-sharing talks were recently held in Chennai.
As part of his State-wide yatra, Mr. Nagenthran came to Krishnagiri district and participated in a special grama sabha meeting held at Bargur and explained the achievements of the Union Government in the meeting.
Addressing the reporters, Mr. Nagenthran said that there were no talks on seat-sharing held between the AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Union Minister Piyush Goyal in Chennai and stated that only election strategies were discussed. He added that former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and AMMK general secretary have exited from the NDA and there are three more months for elections and in politics, there is a chance for any political change within 24 hours.
“People want to unseat the DMK government because the DMK has not fulfilled its election promises and for its alleged anti-people activities. Elections are not like cinema and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) does not have any party infrastructure,” Mr. Nagenthran added.
Refusing to comment on Mr. Palaniswami inviting the TVK into the alliance, Mr. Nagenthran said that NDA should come to power in the 2026 assembly elections and parties that accept this shall join the alliance. He alleged that due to the DMK being unable to do funds misappropriation in the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G), it has opposed the change in this scheme.
“Without a cordial relationship with the Union Government, how will funds come? The public must consider all these factors and make decisions, Mr. Nagenthran added.
