Academy of Comparative Philosophy and Religion plans competitions

The Academy of Comparative Philosophy and Religion (ACPR) situated in the Gurudev Ranade Mandir will organise a series of national level competitions for students.

This is part of a three-day national conference scheduled in February 2026.

All four competitions are for undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral and other research students.

ACPR Secretary M.B. Zirali told reporters in Belagavi on Friday that apart from cash prizes, winners will get opportunities to showcase works of art, present songs and deliver speech at the conference and publish essays in the ACPR journal.

Solo singing competition will be held February 10, 2026. The last date for submitting application is December 31.

An essay competition will be organised on the Life and Works of Dr. R.D. Ranade and Comparative Philosophies and Religions. Entries have to be in English and the essay should be 2,500 to 3,000 words long.

There will be a drawing competition for school students up to standard 10 and another for general category without age limit on the theme of saints of India. It will be held on February 8.

There will be a national elocution competition on Dr. R. D. Ranade and Comparative Philosophies and Religions. The speech can be in English, Kannada and Marathi languages. It will be held on February 9. The last date for submitting application is January 31.
