BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Tuesday (December 30, 2025) alleged that the DMK government was diluting the functioning of the Horticulture Department, and failed to provide small and marginal horticulture farmers with adequate expertise.
In a post on X, he said the ruling DMK had “swindled” ₹141 crore through alleged scams in the department, and was trying to dilute its uniqueness by making it a wing of the Agriculture Department.
Mr. Nagenthran said the government had forced Horticulture Department employees, secondary grade teachers, and nurses to protest, thereby halting the functioning of the government.
“The DMK government, which neglects the demands of government employees, will fall because of its arrogance,” he added.
