Body of man who was swept away in Lower Camp recovered

Fire and Rescue Services officials and Police officials on Friday recovered the body of Shankar who was swept away at Lower Camp in Theni district on December 30, 2025. Police said Shankar and his wife Ganeshwari went to the riverbank on December 30, 2025, to cut grass for their cattle. They were swept away and went missing.

Following a search operation, the officials recovered Ganeshwari’s body on December 31, 2025 and Shankar’s body was recovered on Friday after a four-day search.
