Four minors were arrested by the Petbasheerabad police in connection with a theft at the Sri Kala Bhairava Swamy Temple near Fox Sagar Lake in Subash Nagar, Jeedimetla. Notices have been served to their parents, police said on Saturday (January 24, 2026).
The theft was reported between 8 p.m. on January 22 and 5.30 a.m. on January 23 at the temple located beside the lake.
The police recovered five brass water pots, the silver shatagopam, five aarti tems, two thambulam sets and other brass worship articles.
The accused, all minors from the Jeedimetla and Subash Nagar areas, were identified through CCTV footage, local intelligence and technical surveillance.
Further investigation is underway.
