The Scolympics Republic Day Quiz on Monday saw enthusiastic participation from the city’s quizzing community. Held at Muthamizh Peravai, TN Rajarathinam Kalai Arangam, the competition saw nearly 83 teams in the preliminary round, comprising school and college quizzers.
The quiz included topics such as Italian brainrot trends, K-pop, cricket trivia, Indian history, and so on. After a fiercely-contested preliminary round, six teams qualified for the finals. The championship title was claimed by the trio- Siddhanth Rao, Calvin Christ, and Gokul S.; Nirmal Rajagopalan, Ramesh Natarajan, and Anush Iyer secured the second place, while Abijit Hariharan, Raamanujan S., and Sangeeth rounded off the top three.
The event was conducted by Quizmaster Gopal Kidao. DBS India served as the title sponsor, with The Hindu as the media partner. Urbando Real Estate, Aretto Footwear, and Prayojana Elder Care Services were the associate sponsors.
