In a fresh attack, Rohini Acharya alleges RJD is on the brink of ruin

Two days after Tejashwi Yadav was appointed as the National Working President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Rohini Acharya, the daughter of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad, made a fresh attack on the leadership on Tuesday (January 27, 2026).

In her ‘X’ post, she alleged that the one to whom responsibility was entrusted, along with his imported guru and guru’s henchmen, wiped out decades of struggle and efforts by every dedicated Lalu loyalist, bringing the party to the brink of ruin.

Even on Sunday (January 25), hours before the RJD national executive meeting, she had alleged that the control of the party has slipped into the “hands of infiltrators and conspirators whose sole objective is to destroy Laluvad”.

Soon after the elevation of Mr. Yadav in the party, she had congratulated her younger brother in a sarcastic post on X, saying, “Congratulations on the coronation of the prince who has become a puppet of the gang of infiltrators”.

Again, without naming anyone in the post today, she said, “Who has done what for Lalu ji and the party?” This is clear from the Lok Sabha elections, the recent Assembly election results, and the party’s current State. Questions were raised before, questions are being raised today, and they will continue to be raised in the future.”

She further said, “If there is moral courage, then one should muster the guts to face these questions on an open platform. Who is dispensing knowledge, and who is shying away from the truth while talking about imparting knowledge — this will become clear.”

She asked that today, every true worker, supporter, and well-wisher of the party is asking what those lowly people have done for the party who have been made supreme by side-lining Lalu ji.

Ms. Acharya also asked in the post why the review report has not been made public yet and why no action has been taken so far against those against whom questions were raised in the review meeting.

Soon after returning from the European trip, Mr. Yadav held a review meeting with the senior leaders of the party.

This is not the first time she has gone hard against her own family members. She has been doing it repeatedly for the past two months. A few days ago, she had criticised her family members for allegedly destroying a legacy and claimed that outsiders were not needed for that.

She had alleged that attempts were being made to “wipe out signs of those who gave identity and existence to a legacy”.

“To destroy the ‘great legacy’ that was created and established with such intense effort, there is no need for outsiders; just a few scheming ‘newly made own’ among ‘our own’ and our loved ones are enough,” Ms. Acharya wrote on social media platform ‘X’ on January 10, 2026.

Settled in Singapore- Ms. Acharya was in Bihar during the assembly election, and after the debacle of the RJD, she had announced to quit politics and also disowned her family.

She came to the limelight when she donated her kidney to her ailing father, who was suffering from multiple diseases. She is married to Rao Samresh Singh having two sons and one daughter.
