The BJP State unit on Sunday hailed the Union Budget 2026–27, describing it as a roadmap for Viksit Bharat and a reflection of a stable governance committed to nation-building.
BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav said Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had demonstrated that only a stable government could realise the vision of a developed India. In a statement, he said the Budget focussed on long-term growth through major investments in manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure. Key announcements included ₹40,000 crore for the Semiconductor Mission, ₹10,000 crore each for bio-pharma and container manufacturing, development of chemical parks and research hubs, modernisation of NIPERs, new mega textile parks, and support for MSMEs, micro sectors, and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
Welcoming the Budget, BJP chief spokesperson Valluru Jayaprakash Narayan termed it as the “blueprint for Viksit Bharat @2047.”
The Budget was solution-driven, focussing on jobs for youth, income security for farmers, and relief for the middle class through infrastructure investment, skill development, manufacturing, and digital economy initiatives.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh-specific allocations, he said the NDA government had shown a clear commitment to the State’s development. For Amaravati, the Centre had earmarked around ₹1,128.91 crore, including ₹432.09 crore through IBRD funding for integrated urban development. Additional allocations included ₹800 crore for urban drinking water and sewerage, ₹500.99 crore for rural roads, and ₹350 crore for road and bridge reconstruction.
He also noted that central research grants had been announced for several educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh under the Departments of Atomic Energy and Space.
The BJP leaders said the Budget ensured economic stability, strengthened cooperative federalism, and marked a milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
