A delegation from the Andhra Pradesh Blind Cricket Association met Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand at the Secretariat on Wednesday (December 3).
The team, led by Women’s Blind T20 World Cup-winning captain Deepika and team member Karuna Kumari, paid a courtesy visit and received special appreciation from the Chief Secretary for bringing international recognition to the State.
Congratulating the players on their outstanding achievement, Mr. Vijayanand praised their determination and resilience, stating that they had brought glory to Andhra Pradesh. He assured that the government would extend all necessary support and assistance for the development of blind cricket and the welfare of visually impaired sportspersons.
The delegation also included A.P. Blind Cricket Association president Ch. Sarath Babu, secretary G. Ravinder, Arjuna Awardee coach and treasurer Ajay Kumar Reddy, Team India Manager Shika Shetty, board manager K. Keerthana and medical head Jinka Lakshmi Prasanna.
