ACP receives Compulsory Retirement Order a day after assuming charge in Tiruppur

TIRUPPUR: An Assistant Commissioner of Police attached to the District Crime Records Bureau of Tiruppur City was on Monday served an order of Compulsory Retirement, a day after assuming charge.

Chandrasekaran who was the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Salem District, prior to his transfer to Tiruppur, was issued the Compulsory Retirement Order by the Home Secretary in connection with an investigation into a case he had handled as an Inspector of Crime Branch in Dharmapuri district.

Disciplinary action on corruption charges was pending against the official who had also served in the Idol Wing, and had a few more years of service left for retirement.
