AIYF demands speedy completion of road over bridge in Tiruchi

The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) on Monday staged a demonstration urging Tiruchi Corporation and the railways to expedite construction of the road over bridge near Fort Railway Station.

The demonstration was held near Rockfort TNSTC bus depot in the evening. Protesters said the flyover project, moving at a slow pace, had severely affected traffic flow in the area and caused prolonged hardship to commuters and residents.

The agitation was led by M. Selvakumar, advocate and district coordinator of AIYF.

AISF State president K. Ibrahim criticised the delay and urged the civic and railway departments to fix accountability.
