Christians across Tiruchi gathered on Sunday to observe All Souls’ Day, a solemn occasion dedicated to remembering and praying for the faithful departed.
Cemeteries were crowded throughout the day as families lit candles and placed flowers and wreaths on the graves of their loved ones as a mark of love and remembrance. Special masses were held in churches across the city where prayers were offered for the departed souls.
Observed every year on November 2, All Souls’ Day holds deep spiritual significance for Christians, reminding them of the eternal bond between the living and the dead and the hope of resurrection and eternal life.
