Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his wife N. Bhuvaneswari are leaving for the U.K. from Hyderabad on November 1 night on a personal visit.
Ms. Bhuvaneswari will be receiving the Distinguished Fellowship Award-2025 of the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London on November 4.
She will also receive the Golden Peacock Award Excellence in Corporate Governance category as the Managing Director of Heritage Foods in the presence of Mr. Naidu and a host of other dignitaries.
According to an official release, the IoD selected Ms. Bhuvaneswari for the coveted Distinguished Fellowship Awardas an eminent personality. It is being presented in recognition of significant contributions to public service.
Previous recipients of the award included former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Gopichand Hinduja (Co-Chairman, Hinduja Group), Rajashree Birla (Chairperson, Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives), Dilip Shanghvi (Managing Director, Sun Pharma), Saeed Mohammed (MD, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority), and Sanjeev Goenka (Chairman, Hero Enterprises and Goenka Group).
After these programmes, Mr. Naidu will meet industrialists in London and invite them to the CII Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15. He is also expected to meet the Telugu diaspora there before returning on November 6.
