An official delegation from the Government of Andhra Pradesh visited the Kerala State Higher Education Council (KSHEC) on Tuesday to study Kerala’s higher-education reforms and share the best practices of both States.
The visit, held at the KSHEC headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram, is part of Andhra Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, research, digital transformation and quality enhancement in its higher education institutions.
According to an official release, KSHEC provided a comprehensive overview of its mandate and major initiatives in the State’s higher education landscape. Detailed presentations were also made on the State Assessment and Accreditation Centre (SAAC), Kerala Institutional Ranking Framework (KIRF), curriculum development and academic reforms, Centres of Excellence, Chief Minister’s Nava Kerala Post Doctoral Fellowship, digitisation initiatives, faculty development programmes, scholarships, academic collaborations and Study in Kerala programme.
The delegation from Andhra Pradesh comprised Tulasi Mastanamma Challa, Academic Guidance Officer, Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE); Anubrolu Venkata Kavitha, Officer on Special Duty, IT Initiatives, CCE; Vijaya Babu Ilavarapu, Principal, Dr. V.S. Krishna Government Degree College, Visakhapatnam; Ramachandra Rao K., Principal, Government Degree College, Rajahmundry; M. Pragathi, Principal, Government Degree College, Hindupur; and Thatipaka Samuel David Raj, Principal, Government Degree College, Porumamilla. The KSHEC team was led by Member Secretary Rajan Varughese.
