Andhra Pradesh to host State youth festival ‘YUVA 2025’ from December 18

The State Department of Youth Services is organising a three-day youth festival YUVA 2025, from December 18 at K.L. Deemed to be University, Vaddeswaram in Guntur district.

At a press conference on Thursday (December 04), Commissioner of Youth Services Bharani said the festival would be organised on a grand scale on the theme “Youth for Swarnandhra”, emphasising the role of young people in shaping a progressive, innovative and culturally vibrant Andhra Pradesh. 

The festival will feature State-level competitions, panel discussions and events like ‘Youth Con’ and ‘Youth Impact Labs’. A grand carnival parade featuring 26 district contingents, showcasing the cultural identity and youth spirit of each district would mark commencement of the three-day jamboree that will witness over 2,000 selected youth participating across various segments, she said. 

Besides, Ms. Bharani said top industrialists, policy professionals from Delhi, leading doctors, civil servants, delegates from UN organisations and social entrepreneurs from across the country would be part of the festival. 

The department is collaborating with CII’s IWIN wing, AP Chamber of Commerce and Telugu Associations across the world to bring global exposure to the youth of Andhra Pradesh.

Ms. Bharani said for the first time, the festival will host Mentor-Mentee Connect Pods, professional meetups and youth networking sessions and Telugu diaspora achievers from across the globe will participate in knowledge-sharing dialogues and youth interaction programmes.

A creative pavilion called ‘Yuvasrishti’ would showcase the State’s heritage handlooms, handicrafts and traditional artisan excellence, while activities like “Impact Hackathons” on social entrepreneurship, problem-solving and green innovation will engage youth in designing solutions for local and global challenges.

Ms. Bharani said top performing candidates from the State Youth Festival will be sent to the National Youth Festival in Delhi. Young people across the State can register at www.apyouthfestival.com and follow updates on instagram via @apyouthservices. 

Minister for Youth Affairs M. Ramprasad Reddy has urged young people across the State to actively participate in the three-day festival.
