The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (APJAC) Amaravati has submitted a memorandum to Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav on the grievances and pending demands of the government employees, teachers, pensioners, contract and outsourcing staff, and village ward secretariat employees across the State.
On Sunday, JAC chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and others highlighted the need for transparency and timely settlement of dues.
They requested that all dues be clearly mentioned in the payslips to enable the employees to track the amounts owed to them. The JAC leaders stressed the need for urgent clearance of pending bills, particularly those pertaining to the deceased employees and retirees, and medical reimbursements.
Surrender leave
They stressed that transparent accounting would improve accountability in payments related to DA, PRC, surrender leave, earned leave, retirement benefits, and medical claims.
On surrender leave of the police personnel, the JAC highlighted the Chief Minister’s instructions that half the dues be paid by the end of November and the balance by January 2026, and urged immediate disbursement of the first instalment.
Regarding child care leave, they requested that the female employees be permitted to avail of it until retirement, irrespective of the age of their children, in line with the Chief Minister’s assurance.
Mr. Keshav assured the JAC that all issues would be reviewed with the authorities concerned and the Chief Minister’s commitments implemented, overcoming any legal or procedural hurdles.
Those present included leaders of the AP Co-operative Employees’ Association, AP Police Officers’ Association, AP Municipal Employees’ Association, AP Fourth Grade Employees’ Association, AP Revenue Services Association, AP Government Doctors’ Association, and AP Government Drivers’ Association.
