Virudhunagar Collector N.O. Sukhaputra has appealed to the representatives of recognised political parties to assist the booth level officers in getting back the filled-in enumeration applications of special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
While interacting with the representatives of recognised political parties here on Monday, Mr. Sukhaputra sought their cooperation in encouraging the people to expeditiously fill up the enumeration forms and hand them over to the BLOs to enable faster digitisation of the forms.
The representatives urged the district administration to conduct more special camps at the polling booths for distribution, assisting the voters to fill-in the enumeration forms and collecting them.
The district has so far distributed 97.9% or 15,93,200 enumeration forms to the voters.
After collection of fill-in forms, 7.99 lakh or 49.4% of forms have been digitally uploaded in the Election Commission website.
District Revenue Officer Ananthi and Tahsildar (Elections) B. Ramanan were among those who were present.
